Richard Harding is Global Purchasing Transformation Director for Jaguar Land Rover

Richard has been a procurement professional since joining Rover Cars as a Production Buyer in 1996. The early stages of his career saw Richard build his Production Purchasing experience including a 3 year stint living in Munich for BMW AG.

Whilst working in Telecommunications at Siemens Enterprise and then subsequently Chief Procurement Officer for Telent Technology Services, Richard build an expertise in creating organisational operating models and building strong Procurement teams and capabilities whilst introducing robust and repeatable Category Management approaches to both organisations.

Having returning to automotive at Jaguar Land Rover in 2011, Richard has led Category Procurement for all Sales, Marketing and Communications Global spend as well as leading all Procurement activities associated with Jaguar Land Rover Aftermarket and Special Operations divisions as Global Purchasing Director for these areas.

In more recent times, Richard has taken over as the Jaguar Land Rover Global Purchasing Transformation Director and this role has seen Richard develop an expertise in delivering major transformation projects for the function as well a strong capability in Data, Analytics, Business Optimisation and Robotics Process Automation. Richard is now responsible for establishing a Jaguar Land Rover Centre of Excellence in Robotics Process Automation that will see the introduction of over 100 Robots across the organisation.
