Matthew Sweet

Matt is responsible for leading Carrier Management and Procurement at YUSEN LOGISTICS; managing a substantial pan-European Network of land Carriers moving Freight across the EMEA region across a diverse portfolio of clients and industry sectors.

Over 25 years supply chain experience working across all areas of logistics: operations, business development, commercial and procurement. Holding various influential roles for companies including, CEVA, TESCO and ACCENTURE with projects spanning the Globe.

In his current role; Matt leads the Yusen Global Healthcare Control tower providing highly attuned Logistics services to a leading Pharmaceutical client base which has included the distribution of High-Profile Covid-Vaccine launches in 2020 across Europe. This is alongside a wider remit leading the Land-Freight ‘product’ covering all Asset-Light operations for the business.

Matt attended Southampton Solent University, UK and attained an honours degree in International Transport and Logistics. He is also Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (MCIPS).

Outside of work a keen rugby fan and avid follower of Plymouth Argyle FC (The ‘Green Army’!). The family also rears pigs as a hobby.
